If you don’t know Big Sean then, in my humble opinion, you should give him a shot. I’ve posted all of his past hits and if you didn’t like those, you can go ahead and skip this one too. For everyone else, you’ll be glad to hear that this track (though undoubtedly mixtape-only material) does not disappoint. Rollin’ is from his brand new mixtape which can be found by clicking through to the full post. His full album, Finally Famous, will probably be out late this summer.
Distant Travels into Soul Theory is a nice little conceptual mixtape from a fairly new mc called Quest. If you like soul samples and you like.. females (or if you’re a girl, flip that), you’ll probably be able to get into it. I wouldn’t go as far as claiming the whole thing is 110 percent ill to me or anything but with that said, I could probably throw this on and enjoy it from start to finish. And I guess the fact that that’s true says a lot. Show the kid some love if you like it. Download link is below…
Listened to this before posting it because that’s what we make sure to do and only had to hear a bit to give it the stamp of approval. That ‘Successful’ track sounds ill slowed down. (For those that don’t know what chopped and screwed is, go on youtube and look up DJ Screw…) I never thought I’d hear Lykke Li chopped up… ‘goes pretty hard.
This new Blu comes with perfect timing for me as I have to go on a boring trip out of town for a few days and need new stuff on my iPod badly. Track list included after the cut-off. Enjoy. (Source: Nahright via Blu’s Myspace blog)
J.Period staying cohesive as hell with this homage to Tip. As JSE mentioned worthwhile mixtapes are a rarity these days, shouts to J.Period cause this one is ill. If you’re a Quest head get at that link. Tracklist after the jump.
Not an official mixtape but a good compilation (by HHU) of all the material Kid Cudi has released or been featured on since he dropped ‘The Man On The Moon.’ Check for the track list in the second half of this post…
I don’t know if you’ve heard of these dudes but Graham from Fresh2Death put me up on them recently. I also really don’t know how they stayed under my radar for so long.. (Honestly, for someone that blogs, I don’t read blogs very often. Sue me.) These dudes are one of the main focuses for Diplo and the Mad Decent camp right now so check them out if you’re interested. Actually, let me rephrase: check it out right now (if you haven’t already) because it’s fu**ing good, fool!
By clicking the link below and you can name your price and pay whatever you want for the mixtape.
I don’t know about his pose here with the sunglasses and all that but who the f#*k cares? B.o.b. is out here continuing to give me hope in the new generation of ceremony masterers… Download it while the link still works!
I’m late posting this but his latest leak is included below under “bonus track”—more real s#*t for y’all. Mixtape track listing after the jump…
