Everything you need to know…
THE STORY
THE LOST AND FOUND (aka. TIER ZERO), in early stages of development was a web-log that two friends conceptualized, mainly due to their thirst for increased creative productivity. In an attempt to self-motivate, they posted (or planned to post) their creations on a weekly blog.
At that time, the blog was intended for a small audience and was thus shared with only a few people. In the original blue-print, it was going to feature posts by a wide array of friends and random acquaintances. Plans changed, however, as it was soon found that they couldn’t (and didn’t want to try very hard to) find anyone within their social circle with true interest in publishing a blog or online magazine. The dream of multiple people sharing their creations (music, paintings, designs, photographs, etc.) on a daily basis quickly faded. Posts featuring new paintings and dance mixes dwindled and eventually saw themselves replaced by posts about whatever the hell the less motivated out of the two felt like posting.
Since then, the blog has morphed (or mutated) into some sort of hybrid, lifestyle-art-music and trend-forecasting resource. It is no longer intended for a small audience and is thus no longer viewed by only a small audience—although, it’s true that “small” is a relative term. You will also find that more than two people post on the LAF currently and it can now entertain readers for at least a few minutes once a day, rather than once a week.
PAST, PRESENT AND FUTURE
In short, the original idea for the site was cool and should not be forgotten.
Presently, a lot of people within a tight-knit circle (readers, barely-readers and non-readers of the blog alike) share a common interest in a lot of the music and random things that the LAF is about. New blog posts by the ever-expanding LAF Fam/Collective spark conversation among this circle and thus ideas for future content and projects are formed.
In the future, the least we can hope for is an improved experience (sonic, visual, emotional, whatever.) for our fans each time they visit the site. Ideally, and the most we can hope for is that it will encompass not only a lot of what is worthwhile in the (music) world(, etc.), as it does now, but also the hidden drive that triggered the site’s inception.
