BAMMER JOINTS < SPIKE LEE JOINTS
October 8th, 2008“I like nothin’ but the real McCoy—straight dank. F*ck a bammer joint!”

Man, people who actually sit around and rate movies on sites like RottenTomatoes and Imdb.com.. are not bright. Contrary to their current user-ratings, the latest Spike Lee joint, ‘Miracle At St. Anna,’ is actually an exceptional, enlightening-as-hell, and extremely moving film. It had my homegirl bawling her eyes out… and I came really close to shedding maybe half a tear myself. Needless to say, I highly recommend checking it out.
If you’ve seen it, please tell me you agree with me? If not, I’m sorry but you’re either one of those people who A.) gets bored of any movie that isn’t ridiculous and action-packed or, B.) feigns intellect and good taste in movies by being overly critical of most of them. I’m joking of course, but we all know at least a few characters that fall under those two movie-related categories right? Maybe you’re one of them? Don’t get it twisted, me no hate. Everyone’s got their own taste—perhaps one of the following joints is preferable? …

THE LAF RSS
yooooooo!!!!!! yeah yeah yeah i was ballin my gawd damn eyes out….why? cause that was a 4 thumbs up rating movie….wait make that five thumbs (meaning beyond good). not only does it give out a msg of ” money aint shit bitch!” but it was also very well produced to touch our hearts to make us ball like a big monkey baby (maybe that would just refer to me).
CRITICAL CRIMINAL coming soon
yeah im looking forward to this
tinseltown cheap tuesdays baby
i think most critics are right in that the film is trying to do too much.
at the same time it’s so atypical of lee to reach that far, to be as grandiose in both scope and storytelling, which is exactly the reason to like it. it’s a sprawling summation of his career moreso than an emotional masterpiece.
but yah it’s largely unfocused. and the really brilliant scenes are too few and far between. but again lee is never going to win an award for editing.
not as bad as the reviews are leaning.
but probably not as good as you think.
