CHARLES HAMILTON VS. LUPE FIASCO (DISS)
August 6th, 2008Recently signed to Interscope Records, (False info from summer ‘08:) and endorsed by Eminem and Kanye, Charles Hamilton is likely to blow up in the coming months. Not wasting any time, on his recent mixtape he takes clear (but easy to miss) shots at well-established and fairly well-respected MC, Lupe Fiasco. As you’ll see below, there’s definitely potential for Lupe to come across what I’m about to point out, and honestly, I’d love to hear his retaliation. I mean, it would be two skilled MC’s going toe to toe and the last decent beef in hip hop was between two cats that virtually no one has ever heard of—or heard of since for that matter. Anyways, let me get to the point…
As I said, on two tracks on Charles Hamilton’s recently released mixtape he takes the following shots at Mr. Fiasco:
“I’m sorry my lines are something that you ain’t get, but I do make sense. Fuck all that Lupe shit.” (38 seconds into ‘Unapologetic’ - Track 10)
And this one, which must kind of hurt:
“I got more pupils than eye ball flesh. I got no love for the Fiasco like A Tribe Called Quest.” (30 seconds into ‘No Escaping’ - Track 11)
He does also say something along the lines of “Shout outs to Lupe, it’s all love, I’m just sick of the comparisons” on another track though so I don’t know what’s going on in dude’s head. I’m thinking Lupe might wonder the same thing pretty soon and have a couple things to say about it… if he even cares (or dares) to fire back, that is.

listen to lupes hater hop(directed at terry kennedy) and youll learn the type of guy he is…he wont come out and name drop but youll prolly hear subliminal disses all day
I’ve said it once, I’ll say it again. I wasn’t dissing Lupe. Check older entries in my blog for an explanation of those songs/lines. One was aimed at executives who kept comparing us (when I was homeless and he had the number 1 song in the country), and another was aimed at the media trying to make Lupe the bad guy because he said he didn’t listen to Tribe. We’re actually pretty cool and have mutual friends. Thank you.

Charles Hamilton can rhyme, but I haven’t heard anything from him as good as “Kick Push” or “Super Star”. I have yet to hear anyhting that competes with “Crank dat Soulja Boy”.
I applaud him for dissin’ rappers, because that’s “HIP HOP”.
KRS with out disses would’ve never produced “South Bronx” or “The Bridge Is Over”. By the way, were from a then unknown KRS-One.
Lupe would air Charles Hamilton out in a battle. Soulja Boy got waaayyy more fans than Hamilton and you can’t get fans with disses alone. 50 dissed Ja Rule HARD, but 50 had dope mixtapes and songs.
I’d like to see this kid win out here, but I don’t know about “Brooklyn Girls” or that Sonic the Hedgehog gimmick. That shit is kinda wack, to me at least.
Jimmy Iovine may need a new “Quality Control Guy” over @ the ‘Scope. Good Luck to the kid though.

Yeah i agree with somebody. I think Hamilton’s gonna be HUGE but that sonic stuff just reminds me of soulja boy: superman, one of those whack hooks people try to have to appeal to a younger audience. Lupe’s still better and raps more about problems in the world, which i prefer. FNF UP!
Somebody and WIll…Charles and Soulja boy has nothing IN COMMON the way I see it. Charles Hamilton had explained the reason behind the sonic thing [kinda similar to Kanye west w. the college drop out Bear] they symbolize something. On soulja boys behalf…IDK wat those little walmart smiley face represents lol but I do know if you digg deep into Charles Hamilton flo u gonna see he’s nice w. a different swagg. The way I see it…i dont think Charles Hamilton does it for money i think he does it to show the world wat kinda type of dude he is.. He’s CHARLES HAMILTON and i think that message of just being himself [without any tag names or bullshit fake gangsta wanna be type shit] will be enough to attract people whos interested into the NEW generation of Hip HoP. 1
Lupe fiasco is top 5 for me. I really don’t wanna see Lupe kill his career…at least this early. Charles has a future ahead of him. He needs to get his ego in check though.
Charles Hamilton could be a cool MC if he squashd the whole with Lupe…Cuz he cannot touch Lupe Fiasco, period…
