Head down to the Ayden Gallery tonight, some time between 7:00 PM and 11:00 PM, and buy this guy’s shit. One of the most prominent artists featured, among a slew of other equally talented individuals, Tim Barnard’s work will be hard to miss. As he puts it, his “focus on the infinite extremities inherent in the possibilities of high contrast black and white automatic drawing,” has given him a very distinct and original style. Equipped with nothing but a black marker a lot of the time and filling up entire eight foot canvases, the dude definitely has some skills.

See more and read up, after the jump…
Rap music about graffiti, lost due to obscurity and years of musical evolution, but then found again and assembled before you in an easy-to-click format. In honor of Pack FM’s ‘Click Clack and Spray’ video (below), this is Lost Rap Volume 1: The Graffiti Edition.

I was walking in Gastown last night and noticed the new newspaper box across the street from the Lamplighter. My bad if I’m late on this… at some point I think I remember reading about the mag but forgot about it until I was staring at it. Sneeze is a skate mag, it’s conceptual… and on some Vancouver shit. I’d try to comment on where it’s printed but the thing is huge, I’ve only had the chance to look through it but the editor’s letter (by “MR.SNEEZE”) is fresh, read it after the jump…

So the new N.E.R.D. leaked—like everything does—and a friend linked me to it. Being a fan of their production ever since Superthug, I decided to actually download it. This hesitation and the “I Guess,” in “I Guess I’ll Press Play,” is not a reflection of any negative expectations I had for this album, however. Quite the contrary, it’s just been a while. Due to time constraints I barely ever listen to full albums. Tonight though, since other contributors wrote some, I decided to listen to this in its entirety while writing this quick review.
A journey through Seeing Sounds (a chronological commentary & album review), awaits, after the jump… (Plus, a few mp3’s)

My apologies, I forgot to cover this beef despite being put up on it by the good people over at DONOTFOLLOW.com. I meant to cover it in full when I did the May Wrap-up.
FULL STORY:
As far as I know, basically this Mazzi dude came at Jay Electronica and The Cool Kids, Mic Terror responded (because he knows them and they dissed Chicago), and then Mazzi responded back. Watch the main video of this post and you can consider yourself all caught up…for now.
A lot has been written about Daim’s 3-D Graffiti, now some Media Arts and Design students are teaming together to transform a Nintendo Wii console into a spraycan. Wiispray, a prototype which remains under heavy development, is part of a final thesis design project by Martin Lihns at Bauhaus-University in Weimar, Germany.
Wiispray aims to bring its gamers all the thrills of a real-life spraycan without the limitations. It simulates real-life spraycan characteristics and comes with a range of different caps and colours. No word yet on who the sponsor is, but I bet Montana wants the entire pie.

Speaking on everything from the history of The Roots and his take on Barack Obama, to being pulled over by the D.E.A.
